When you pick up your puppy or arrange for delivery, you will receive your puppy’s AKC registration packet, microchip registration information, and a signed sales agreement. You will also receive a thoughtfully prepared take-home bag containing a toy with your puppy's mother’s scent, a small bag of puppy food, and a packet with genetic testing and lineage information from both sides of the family.

What should I have ready before bringing my puppy home?

We recommend preparing your puppy’s food, food and water bowls, collar and leash, ID tag, crate, bed, chew toys, potty-training supplies, and an enzyme cleaner before your puppy arrives.

Are there any helpful extras I should buy?

Yes! A properly fitted harness, baby gate or playpen, training treats, grooming supplies, a travel crate or car harness, and a variety of enrichment toys can be especially helpful during your puppy’s first few weeks at home.

What can help my puppy transition smoothly?

A quiet, comfortable sleeping area and familiar items—such as a blanket or towel with a comforting scent—can help your puppy feel secure in their new environment. A lint roller, pet first-aid kit, and extra towels are also useful items to have on hand.

Do I need anything special for house training?

Have potty-training supplies ready before your puppy comes home. This may include puppy pads, a designated outdoor potty area, cleaning towels, and an enzyme cleaner for accidents. Consistency, patience, and a regular schedule will help your puppy learn quickly.
